The Music Video & Short Film Production degree is the first of its kind in Europe. The course is available as a 2-year Foundation Degree (FdSc) or a full 3-year Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours (BSc, Hons).

This comprehensive course uses the format of the music video and short film to deliver all the necessary skills for video production in any given genre. The course starts with an historical view of the evolution of music video with fundamental principles of video production such as scripting, storyboarding and planning of the shoot.

All principles are covered in fine detail including filming and editing and a host of more advanced processes such as special effects, computer generated imagery, audio processing, grading, compositing and the process of Post Production.

Learning is reinforced through practical assignments, encouraging the creation of music video projects both at the SSR facilities and off-site. Candidates are also encouraged to collaborate with other students on music-related courses for the creation of their video productions.
