Application Criteria
The scholarship is intended for those who have limited financial resources and would otherwise not be able to afford this training. This is always a difficult 3-way decision for the judging panel who base their decisions on the additional following criteria:
You must have a personal goal of working specifically in live sound reinforcement
You must show that you are unable to afford the course costs
You must show you have some knowledge of the industry; that you have done your research
You must show you have a real passion for live sound work
We would expect you have at least some knowledge of the kind of equipment used and some of the working practices involved in live sound reinforcement.
You must show an understanding of what the life of a live sound engineer may entail
You must show evidence of what you have done already in order to achieve your live sound goals
You must show that you will be able to support yourself (i.e., with rent if moving to Manchester, living expenses etc) in order to complete the course
