ABOUT THE COURSE
Our DJ Techniques course, available in Manchester, will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to turn your hobby and passion into a profession.
But let’s be honest. This course alone will not turn you into a superstar deejay or lead to a residency in Ibiza within 6 months.
What it will do however, is teach you the techniques to be able to mix records together seamlessly on a variety of formats and DJ mixers; from ‘old school’ vinyl turntables to the latest CDJ and XDJ players. It will also teach you about digital DJ software like Serato and Traktor. It will teach you how to market yourself and get gigs, and you’ll learn how to organise your music properly. Most importantly, it will show you how to combine all these new skills and how to take a more professional approach to DJ’ing. And we’ll keep class sizes small enough that you’ll be able to benefit from 1-2-1 time with your tutor.
You’ll be using a range of club-standard DJ equipment including Pioneer CDJ2000 Nexus CDJs, DJ mixers from Pioneer, Rane and Allen & Heath, Technics & Pioneer turntables, Traktor controllers, Serato-ready mixers and high quality monitor speakers housed in our suite of DJ booths.
We understand that mastering DJ’ing is much more than attending a training course; we think of our DJ training in a similar way to learning a traditional musical instrument. Combine everything you learn on the course with your own hard work, determination and practice time, and you’ll have the foundation to build your career or take your hobby more seriously.
Then it’s up to you. Become that superstar DJ. Get that residency in Ibiza, gig at Glastonbury or warm up set at your favourite local club night. Or, just enjoy playing records to people more creatively and proficiently than you did before, and see what happens next…TOPICS
