From Glastonbury to any underground venue, while all eyes are on the stage, there’s an engineer working to make the show sound great. This is true for any event relying on sound reinforcement: theatre, corporate events, exhibitions and large scale sporting events. It won’t sound good without a skilled professional engineer. And before the band gets anywhere close to the stage, someone has to think about designing that PA system. The job of the live sound engineer is as important as that of anyone on stage. Live sound isn’t a job; it’s a lifestyle. And here’s where you learn it.

This Live Sound Engineering course, delivered in Manchester or Jakarta, is available as a 6 month stand alone course or as an advanced module in our Music Production & Sound Engineering course.

What our students say -

"I've been lucky enough to travel the world, from Bosnia to Japan and the States, putting in PA systems for big acts such as Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay & Radiohead. It's been a good ride, and I can't think of any other job that would have given me the opportunities and experiences that I've had over the last few years. The pay is good and the lifestyle is nice too. I'm lucky to do what I do!

Thanks to everyone at SSR, particularly Jay Beard, and I hope to catch up with everyone soon.
