Our programmes range from short weekend courses to full 3-year degrees and include tuition in Audio Engineering, Live Sound Engineering, Post Production Audio , Electronic Music Production, Video Production and Radio Production. We have 25 years of experience and are one of the most forward thinking, industry-focused and networked training organisations in the world. The workstations are built with consoles from Soundcraft, digital recorders from Akai and a range of effects and dynamic processors. There are two practical uses for the workstations. The first is as part of a tutor-led training session, the second is for hands-on individual or group practice. 1 - The idea behind this new way of teaching is that there will be a camera over the tutors mixing console. This will enable the students to follow the lead of the tutor from the view on the plasma screens. This approach is totally practical and hands-on and will complement the lectures and seminars perfectly. 2 - The workstations will enable SSR students to practice their Sound Engineering skills as part of a class, in groups or individually in any part of the building. The use of the workstations will be in addition to studio time. This will reinforce learning as students will be able to take time out to practice their skills, anytime any place.
