  • The arrival of Media City is set to make Manchester the UK’s central creative media industry hub, housing every type of company from radio and TV stations, graphics and advertising agencies to music and post production facilities. It is estimated that over 15,000 jobs will be created in the area. The BBC are just one of many companies who have taken up floor space for the relocation of some of their London-based operations (10% so far). Media City is set to launch in 2010.

SSR’s Film and TV Audio Post production course offers modular, first-class training in all aspects of video and audio post production, developing techniques and creative awareness. The video components explore workflows such as editing, colour grading and authoring; whilst the audio section includes sound effects, ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) and music. Some prior knowledge is preferred but not essential.
The course, written and delivered by industry active professionals, has been developed in conjunction with companies such as 3Sixty Media and Sumners - the post production companies used by ITV and the BBC alike.
