Course Overview
Guitar Player is a great course for anyone aspring to become a rock or pop legend! Based around group teaching, the course is designed to be relaxed,fun and affordable. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, or continuing an old hobby, Guitar Player teaches all the skills and techniques you'll need to become an accomplished player.

Course Structure
Guitar Player is available for Basic, Intermediate or Advanced players, bookable in blocks of 10 lessons. All lessons take place on Saturdays.

The Lessons

Each lesson consists of six or seven different activities, covering a wide range of techniques. You'll get the opportunity to play solo and with the rest of the class. Exercises in the course books ensure that there's plenty to practise during the week in preparation for the next lesson and a CD provided with each book contains great backing tracks to make practice fun.

What will I learn?
The skills taught include:

> Scales, chords & melody
> Right-hand technique (plectrum, fingerstyle, slap, dynamic control)
> Left hand technique (chords, melodies, slides, bends, muting,hammer-ons)
> Music Theory (Staff notation, tablature, keys & modes)
> Listening skills (accompaniment, soloing, playing as a group)
> Maintenance & technical know-how (controlling your sound)

Guitar Player will teach you to play chords and melodies alongside each other, and how to play, transcribe and arrange in different musical styles.

What does it cost?
