Alex Kumara is a high profile figure within Indonesian television and has a wealth of experience with the private television industry. Graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Trisakti, Alex’s broadcasting career began with RCTI (Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia) where he progressed through the company to become Director of Engineering, Vice President and Director of Operations.

Following these roles at RCTI, Alex played an instrumental role in establishing Trans TV and became Director of Operations, and has also worked in the same role for SCTV (Surya City Televisi).

Alex Kumara is currently Director of Programming for the state owned TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia).

Both before and during his Television work, Alex Kumara is also regarded as an expert in the fields of Audio and Live Sound Engineering, and is a leading figure regarding audio and broadcast sound in his work in the television industry.

Scholarship Funds
The Mira Lesmana and Alex Kumara scholarships will offer up to IDR 50.000.000 per academic year for SSR’s Digital Film & Music Video Production and Audio Engineering programmes respectively.

Who Can Apply?
The Scholarships are open to any financially and academically deserving students who are currently pursuing/intending to pursue higher education in local public and private universities/colleges/polytechnics.

How To Apply?
To apply for a scholarship programme you must attend* an SSR Jakarta Open Day/Open Event – Details of the application process and answers to any other questions you may have will be given at these events.

Requirements

• Must be an Indonesian citizen
• Full-time student in SMA/college/university
• Already gained/intended to seek acceptance into public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics (please submit to us via email the letter of acceptance once you received it)
• Excellent SMA/SMK/Diploma or other relevant results
• SMA's Student: SGPA 7.5 and 8 for each 3 subjects (Mathematics, Physic, English)
• College/University's Student: Grade A: GPA 3.8. - Grade B: GPA 3.6 - Grade C: GPA 3.4
• Currently not holding any other scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from any other institution.
