SSR Jakarta Scholarships

The education of the younger generation has been an issue very close to the heart of SSR from the beginning in Manchester. In the UK, SSR has successfully pioneered several scholarship programmes enabling gifted, yet sometimes socially disadvantaged students the chance to study on SSR’s courses and show the creative industries what they have to offer. Scholarships in the UK have been run in the names of Ian Brown (singer, Stone Roses), Charlie Jones (Live Sound Engineer) and Anthony Wilson (Factory Records/The Hacienda).

With our annual scholarship program at SSR Jakarta we wish to continue these highly beneficial support programmes and will be offering a number of scholarships to students, with the aim to provide unique educational opportunities to the youth of the nation that may otherwise be out of their reach due to social/monetary restrictions.

SSR Jakarta will be offering the following scholarships:

Scholarship Funds
The Mira Lesmana and Alex Kumara scholarships will offer up to IDR 50.000.000 per academic year for SSR’s Digital Film & Music Video Production and Audio Engineering programmes respectively. The Ian Brown Scholarship will allow potential students to apply for an up to IDR 50,000,000 bursary towards any SSR Jakarta course.

Who Can Apply?
The Scholarships are open to any financially and academically deserving students who are currently pursuing/intending to pursue higher education in local public and private universities/colleges/polytechnics.

How To Apply?
To apply for a scholarship programme you must attend* an SSR Jakarta Open Day/Open Event – Details of the application process and answers to any other questions you may have will be given at these events.

Requirements

• Must be an Indonesian citizen
• Full-time student in SMA/college/university
• Already gained/intended to seek acceptance into public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics (please submit to us via email the letter of acceptance once you received it)
• Excellent SMA/SMK/Diploma or other relevant results
• SMA's Student: SGPA 7.5 and 8 for each 3 subjects (Mathematics, Physic, English)
• College/University's Student: Grade A: GPA 3.8. - Grade B: GPA 3.6 - Grade C: GPA 3.4
• Currently not holding any other scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from any other institution.
