SSR’s ‘Mastering’ weekend short course is designed to give you an overview and introduction to the dark art of mastering for modern music.
This course aims to improve your understand of what is involved in the mastering process, giving you an overview of modern techniques along with mastering workflows and processing chains.
The course takes place over 2 days and is suitable for both beginners who want to know more about the process and professionals who want to polish their skills and learn more specific techniques.
This course is non-platform specific.
Taking place in our state of the art Neve recording studio, students are able to bring their own tracks on the second day of the course, gaining a unique and personal insight into the mastering process of their productions using high quality plug-ins and pro audio analogue gear.
You will have the opportunity to get involved in the process first hand while discussing and exploring the techniques learnt the previous day under the expertise of our pro tutors.
Students bring in their projects and are able to witness how the master is done using our state of the art Neve studio with high end outboard gear and quality plug-ins.
During the mastering process, tutors will put into practise everything that has been learnt the previous day while discussing problems encountered and how to solve them.
This is a great opportunity for everyone to witness a mastering session first hand and listen to their own tracks before and after mastering in a properly acoustic treated room using high quality monitoring.
This weekend short course is designed to compliment our weekend short course in Mixing.
Attendees will also receive a book/document full of mastering topics and workflows to take away with them for future reference.
The course will be a great experience and very inspiring for anyone attending.
