SSR advise education industry on expansion & international development

In recognition of our illustrious training history and expansion with new campuses opening in London & Jakarta, and with further development in the pipeline, senior SSR staff members have recently been invited to speak at major events concerning routes into training and university expansion and overseas development.

Firstly SSR’s Wendy Breakell was invited to deliver a key note lecture and seminar on training for careers in music, TV, Film and computer games to a national conference at Wembley football stadium. The conference delegates were drawn from the world of education and industry whose key responsibilities are advising on the best training routes for entry into this competitive field.

SSR was asked to deliver this seminar in view of our reputation and profile in this sector and our impressive record in placing our students into work. The seminar was filmed and we will update this page with some highlights when the video is available.

In addition, SSR Principal Ian Hu will soon be addressing delegates at an upcoming CVU Seminar in London.

The Council of Validating Universities (CVU) is the only body in the UK specialising exclusively in good practice and standards for that aspect of higher education which concerns the validation of programmes of study by universities and colleges.

Ian will be delivering a key-note speech on ‘Developments in Overseas Campuses and Partnerships’ for the seminar, which takes place on the 22nd March at Regents College Conference Centre. Also speaking at the event are representatives from the University of Reading, University of Liverpool and the University of Hertfordshire.

SSR Principal Ian HuSSR Principal Ian Hu:
“It is an honour that SSR’s track record and successful expansions have been recognised with these invitations to offer advice and support to other Higher Education providers. Opening new campuses in London and Jakarta has been a steep learning curve for SSR and I am looking forward to sharing some of our experiences with the education industry”

Big turnout for latest SSR London Masterclass

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody that came to our latest Masterclass on Thursday 1st March.

The event was a great success with around 50+ people packing into our Camden studios for the special Production and Mastering session with our Head of Audio Jonathan Espinosa.

Jonathan discussed and showcased some of the best techniques and production tips he has picked up during his career, along with taking questions from the audience, all with the aim of helping people make their tracks and productions stand up to commercial standards.

We had some great feedback from those in attendance and will definitely be running similar events in the very near future.
