MA Post Production course overview
Unique to the UK and timed to coincide with the forthcoming opening of MediaCityUK at Salford Quays, this post –graduate MA course will develop the next generation of creative talent and future industry leaders.
Enrolling now, this new and ground breaking MA will be delivered in partnership with the University of Salford, a Skillset media academy
Becci Morgan, Manager of Flix Post production in Manchester had this to say recently of students seeking a career in the media industry: "Graduates learn a lot, but not the technical side of things. It would be good to have graduates who are prepared for post production but universities tend not to allow students to get on the equipment because it’s expensive."
Students on the MA Post Production course will have access to the very best equipment, facilities and training at both institutions.
Here at SSR, you will be taught by tutors with real world industry experience in our dedicated post production facility which includes a Foley studio, the only one in the region and a 5.1 surround sound mixing studio. Students will benefit from Salford University’s recognised expertise in media and their status as a Skillset academy.
SSR and Salford have powerful links to the media industry so this course is supported by employers such as Sumners, Lion Eyes TV and ITV. SSR is a BBC training provider and with Salford University’s new campus at MediaCityUK, students will be right at the heart of this new creative hub.
