SSR Manchester is a leading ‘AVID Learning Partner’ providing officially certified Pro Tools courses and training. SSR was the first Avid (then DigiDesign) ‘Pro School’ in Europe and we have taught countless sound engineers, producers, sound designers and freelancers who are now working in the industry putting their training to commercial use.
Our Pro Tools instructors are experts in their respective fields and use the professional, high-spec studios and edit suites available at SSR to pass on their knowledge and skills. We have previously trained staff from The BBC, ITV, various universities, schools and colleges, recording studios and post production houses.
What Is Pro Tools?
Pro Tools is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Essentially, it is a range of software and hardware that allows the recording, sequencing, editing and manipulation of audio files in order to create professional, commercial level productions.
Many of your favourite albums, films and TV shows will have been produced using Pro Tools, and increasingly many live concerts are produced using Pro Tools mixing consoles and software. The Pro Tools product range can allow you to design the perfect setup for your needs, with a wide array of solutions from hardware interfaces and consoles to software, plug-ins, and more.
While we also teach other DAW software such as Apple’s Logic, Pro Tools remains the industry standard audio production platform and is found in many of the world’s best recording studios and editing suites, making it an essential tool for professional sound engineers, designers, producers and mixers.
