Student Success – Oliver Twiby

Oliver Twiby studies on our academic course Studio & Live Music Production which operates in association with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

During his studies at SSR Oliver has worked on various projects including production rehearsals with heavy metal legend Devin Townsend, sessions with singer Diane Shaw and worked closely with SSR student band Bob Dean. Oli has also taken a lead role in producing the SSR Salford Sessions with local radio Dj Shellzenner, which in itself has given him lots of experience working with different bands and instruments in a live environment.

Oliver is now set to turn professional with heavy metal giants Judas Priest recruiting Oliver to work as System Technician for their latest tour which will begin on the 22nd April and end on the 27th May.

Oliver had this to say:
“The skills that I have learnt at SSR have given me a great foundation that I can start my career on. It’s not just technical knowhow but the guidance given on how to deal with pressure in demanding situations that has given me great confidence to succeed. I’d like to thank the whole SSR team who have given me great opportunities and support throughout my course.”
