Our creative support for the Manchester Film Festival runs into a second year.
Now in its third year, the 2017 Manchester Film Festival (MANIFF) runs from Thursday 2 - Sunday 5 March, showcasing an eclectic mix of independent films in Manchester’s ODEON Printworks.
Following on from our successful debut as ‘creative partners’ of the Manchester Film Festival last year, we are proud to announce that we will be working closely with them again in 2017, hosting a 48 hour film challenge and providing PA support to the musicians featured within the highly anticipated documentary No Roads In. The musicians will be playing two short, live sets at the Odeon and Printworks.
As a brand new addition to the festival this year, we will be supporting teams of film-makers from around the country in a competition to create, finish and screen their short films within 48 hours.
The teams will be briefed with a list of elements to include in their films at our Manchester studios on Friday 3 March, with their films being screened on the festival’s final day, at 12pm on Sunday 5 March. The winners of the competition will be announced at the closing awards ceremony, alongside recognised filmmakers and other industry professionals.
Alongside the amazing range of screenings taking place, there are also 3 live panel discussions which will offer a great behind-the-scenes look into the world of creative film making. MANIFF’s commitment to showcasing creativity in independent film perfectly reflects our own beliefs and our drive to offer world class education in music, film and games.
Registration for the 48 Hour Film Challenge
is now open and tickets for all screenings are available to purchase via the MANIFF website.
