The V Project
The V-project is a level 4 vocational training experience. Funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), the aim of V is to deliver level 4 training in sound technologies, alongside a work-experience placement in a chosen field within the music, media and entertainment industries.
The main vocational areas covered by V include:
- Film and TV production and post-production
- Recording studio engineering and production
- Club and venue sound engineering
- Public address systems design and setup
SSR, in collaboration with the chosen placement company, will design a 48-week programme of training and work experience consisting of:
- Digital sound production (including ProTools 101 certified training)
- Sound effects and soundscapes
- Post-production (sound for film and tv)
- Career development and work-based learning
Students will attend SSR for 7 hours per week and embark on a work placement for 1 full day per week.
Entry requirements
- Applicants must be unemployed, over 18 and living in the Greater Manchester, Lancashire or Cheshire area
- Previous Sound Engineering experience
