What? ‘WIRED’ is SSR’s free monthly live music event. Sponsored by cables manufacturers Van Damme, these events are a brilliant opportunity for unsigned artists and bands to get on stage and basically show off. The capacity of the venue is 200 and we have a bar and a designated smoking area, disabled access, toilet facilities and chill out area. The sound system has been designed and installed by sound reinforcement giant Wigwam Acoustics who provide live sound for everyone from Radiohead to Muse to the Chilli Peppers. Who? WIRED showcases the best of the up and coming talent in one of the best equipped venues in the UK. We showcase bands of any style and genre. A typical night will see an acoustic act followed by 2 or 3 other bands on stage. Bands will usually play a 45 minute set. DJ sets play between acts.
