Get set for Le Tour De France

Last week I was mainly organising the production for a stage in Manor Park, Glossop.

The Tour De France was “on tour” and came close to Glossop (near where I live) on the Sunday. This meant a lot of the roads were closed so a carnival was being held along with some live bands. As I am one of the organisers at Bankswood Music Festival (another local music event on later in the summer) we were asked to put on a production at this event too.

We had between 3,000 and 5,000 people turn up throughout the day and had two bands playing in the evening. Curragh Sons opened up from 5pm (http://curraghsons.homestead.com/) and Victorian Dad from 18:15 (http://www.victoriandadband.com/).

SSR students of course ran the audio for the event without a hitch. Thanks to Baldur (FoH) Sefano (Mons) and Mike (Stage) and James for all their hard work. You were great.

The sun shone for most of the day too! SSR - Get set for Le Tour De France
