As with any course at SSR, a major part of the BSc (Hons) Music Business and Creative Industries degree is working with the industry to secure real opportunities for our students whilst they are studying on the course. These opportunities help students to learn how the industry really works while gaining relevant experience, and they are also valuable networking opportunities.

We teamed up with Pure Speakers back in May (2014) who were keen to team up with SSR Manchester to launch a gig reviewer programme for students studying on the Music Business course.

Pure is a world leading consumer electronics manufacturer and leads the way in music streaming, radio systems, multiroom audio and entertainment cloud services with the Pure Connect (www.pureconnect.com) portal as well as innovating in new areas such as the TV set top box market.

Nick Hucker, Pure’s Marketing Director:
“It is an honour to partner with such an established name on the Manchester music scene. Our customers will really enjoy reading these new reviews from an authentic voice and it’s a great way to discover new music to enjoy listening to through our products.”

Pure’s gig reviewer programme allows students on the course to submit regular gig reviews and other articles for the Pure Insider blog and social media channels. Megahn Keene who started studying with us in Sept 2013 and who has just completed her first year of study jumped at the chance.

Stay tuned to the SSR social networks and the Pure Insider Blog for further updates!
