Summer School Series - Electronic Music Production & DJ Techniques with Native Instruments

Learn about beat creation, electronic music production and DJ performance at this 5 day, highly practical and hands-on summer school course in our Camden studios, London – it’s all about making your own music the way you want it to sound; creating beats, bass-lines and more, using a variety of hardware and software.

The course will be held in our Native Instruments Suite and you will be getting hands-on with Maschine Studio, Maschine Jam and Traktor controllers, as well as a range of synths, such as Massive.

The course will be taught by expert tutors from our Electronic Music Production and DJ Practice BA (Hons) degree course, who are all also working producers and Native Instruments specialists.

In five days, you will discover the best way to arrange and sequence your tracks and bring them to life with effects and processing. You will learn how to sample other tracks and manipulate those samples for your own productions, breaking them down so you can perform them live.

Future Bass, House, Grime, Trap, D&B & more - it doesn't matter what genre you're into, you’ll be able to apply the techniques and skills from this course in your own way.

  • Making beats
  • Making great sounding bass lines + synth melodies
  • Arrangement + mixing
  • 1-2-1 help on developing your personal music style
  • Performance skills (live sets & DJ techniques)
