Maria Chavez Turntablism Lecture and Workshop

SSR London - 1pm to 4pm
Pioneering abstract turntablist and international sound artist Maria Chavez is coming to SSR to talk about her work and will be giving a hands-on practical workshop on her turntable techniques.

She will be speaking to students from all 3 years of SSR's unique Electronic Music Production and DJ Practice degree course but it is also open to the public at a small charge of £4 (includes 89p Eventbrite fee).

Maria is also playing a show with Rosen, Beatrice Dillon and Alen Jam's Chloe Frieda at Power Lunches on October 2nd. More info here.

She is also giving a more theoretical lecture at Goldsmiths on October 6th entitled A Challenging Spark which will focus on utilizing challenging environments to advise site specific sound installations.
