Graduates & Students Panel / Q&A Session

SSR Manchester - 3pm to 5pm
  • Want to know what life is really like as an SSR student?
  • Want to find out what some of our graduates are doing now and how they got there?
  • Want to know the do's and don'ts of SSR from a student perspective?
Come along to our Graduates and Students Panel / Q&A session to hear from a selection of former and current students about their experiences studying at SSR and get some great tips and advice on making the most of your course.

Ask questions, take notes and get inspired during this informal panel-style discussion.

Get the inside track on studying at SSR and what it takes to not only make the most of your course, but to set yourself up for employment and the myriad of opportunities that await you upon graduation.

PANELLISTS

We have invited 3 graduates and current students and one member of our Studio assistant team to take a place on the panel, each with varying and very interesting, inspirational career experiences, stories and advice to share with you. They are:

James Clamp - Director of local PA rental company Noisebox Productions and Audio Engineering graduate.

Holly Lester - Rising superstar DJ and Electronic Music Production graduate, Holly has played at some of the biggest clubnights in the UK including The Warehouse Project, Chibuku Shake Shake & Tribal Sessions alongside the likes of Bicep, Paul Woolford and Jackmaster

Callum Bate - Callum is Stockport band Blossoms' monitor engineer and has been with the band all the way through their recent rise to the top of the Indie scene, and he previously worked with Viola Beach.

Alex Miller - See below!

SSR STUDIO ASSISTANTS

Alex Miller from our studio assistant team will also be on the panel to discuss their role and how they are here to help you.

Studio Assistants man our reception desk are the day to day face of SSR. They will book studios for you, fetch resources, offer advice on equipment you can use for sessions and, most importantly, will help you if you get stuck along the way. Can't get sound out of the monitors? Unsure which tripod to use with which camera? Want to know what microphones are best for an acoustic guitar or kick drum? This is where our Studio Assistants come in!

The graduates and students on the panel have all been in your position. They know how exciting/daunting it can be at the start of your journey with us, so why not come down and get some great tips, advice and inspiration?
