Following the release of our online courses earlier this year, we are incredibly proud to be able to showcase some of the student work from our Audio for Games: FMOD and Unity
These courses are designed for students with a basic background in audio, to give them the additional skills needed to make interactive sound and music for computer games, and introduce them to the basics of game design.
Unlike most other online courses, students have direct contact with the instructors. We’re available if anyone get stuck, or if they need help to take their projects to the next level. There are regular assignments, and continuous feedback is given.“The course was fun and insightful. It has equipped me with new tools to use specifically working in game audio (speaking as someone coming from a strictly compositional background) and is ideal for anyone who wants to learn the fundamental basics of audio integration with the Unity Engine. Each element of the course is divided into manageable weekly sections and you only learn the specific essentials which makes it good value for money. Ciaran was supportive and even provided additional learning materials not covered in the course outline by request. Overall a great introductory course for audio in games."

Since we’re started running these courses, I’ve been amazed at what students have been able to achieve. They’ve taken what’s been covered and run with it, far exceeding what I hoped and some have even had industry success already.“SSR's Audio for Games: FMOD and Unity course was a brilliant introduction to the world of game making and interactive audio. It really advanced my knowledge of both and enabled me to get a job with a top games company.”

There’s a real need for people with these skills in the industry, and it’s been great to see how quick the results of these courses have been.
