SSR Tutor, Steve Boyce-Buckley engineers Lisa Stansfield's latest album, Deeper
Manchester-born singer-songwriter, Lisa Stansfield, has released her latest album, Deeper, with the help of Audio Engineering Tutor, Steve Boyce-Buckley and SSR students, Luca Cicchelli and Artur Corcodel.
After growing up in Rochdale, Lisa went onto to win ‘Search for a Star’ contest before going on to record and release her first single ‘Your Alibis’ in 1981. After turning her hand to television and returning to the music industry to record more albums, the 51-year-old took a 10-year break before working with Steve on her comeback album, Seven, in 2014.
After much success, Lisa set to work on her latest album which encompasses everything you would expect from the 90’s star; Funk and Soul.
Since releasing the album, Deeper has shaken up the charts and landed a place at number 11 in the UK’s top 100 and number 11 in the official German charts.
Recognising his great efforts, Steve was given additional orchestration credits on the album. SSR students, Luca Cicchelli and Artur Corcodel, were also given credit for their input in the album too.
Speaking after the album release, Steve said, “Having any credit on a successful album is always something of a thrill.
Not only does it represent your skills and role you played in the making of it, but it also validates the many years spent honing your craft. “
