SSR London - Kristian Borring Quintet Recording
Kristian Borring Quintet Recording
Students on the audio engineering course recently had the pleasure of recording the Kristian Borring Quartet. Consisting of guitarist Kristian Borring, saxophonist Mike Chillingworth, Andrea Di Biasc on double bass and drummer Jon Scott, the quartet recorded a number of their tracks with our audio engineering students overseen by tutor Jonathan Espinosa Minuesa.

Based in London, Kristian Borring is freelance guitarist and composer who has performed across both Europe and the UK. As well as working solo, Borring also composes for and performs with a variety of different groups including the Alicia Hart Group, Monika Lidke Quartet, the Soitz Collective and the Tommaso Starace Quartet. He is also the co-founder of organ trio collective “Acrobat”.

Both the band and the students thoroughly enjoyed the recording session in SSR London’s flagship Neve studio. Not only did it provide our students with the opportunity to work with some top quality musicians it also provided the quartet with the space to create the sound they wanted using our high end equipment.
