SSR tutor enters technical paper into Lumiere Awards
We’ve recently been informed of a great achievement from Bruce Fitter, head of our new Stereo 3D Film Production course. During his time tutoring at SSR, Bruce has also now written a technical paper titled: The Relationship of Pixel Parallax to Audience Emotional Response.
Bruce’s paper is due to be published in the IEEE, a prestigious engineering journal, which is integrated into one of the world’s largest associations for the advancement of current technology.
Bruce will also be presenting his paper on December 3rd in Liege, at the IC3D academic conference, held at the 3D Stereo Media in Belgium, which is the International 3D Summit for Science, Technology, Art and Business.
As part of the event and conference Bruce has received a VIP invite to the Gala event held on Friday night at the Liege Royal Opera House where the European, Middle East, and North Africa Lumiere honours are awarded. Here, Bruce will be entering his technical paper and competing for a Lumiere award.
The Lumiere awards are identical to those awarded in the United States by IC3D, to greats such as Martin Scorcese and Steven Spielberg. It would be great to see Bruce’s name up there with these huge S-3D cinematographers. Bruce will also be attending the award ceremony at the Royal Opera House of Liege on December 6th.
We hope Bruce has a great time in Belgium and wanted to congratulate Bruce on this great achievement and wish him the best of luck for his entry into the Lumiere awards.
