SSR Manchester has teamed up with South Lancashire's Chorley FM in an exciting new partnership which will see SSR Radio Production students presenting programmes on the community radio station.
Chorley FM is a radio station based in Chorley, Lancashire, England. Chorley FM was recently awarded a five-year licence to broadcast round the clock to the local community; this has recently been extended for a further 5 years. It also broadcasts worldwide via the Internet at www.chorley.fm
The station's target objective is to broadcast for the area's young people and provide them with an opportunity to get involved and gain valuable experience in radio and the media.
The brand new programme which will air every Friday lunchtime from 12 - 2pm will be presented by different students each week. It will be produced in SSR's own radio studio in Manchester, but will be designed to fit in with Chorley FM's 'station sound'.
Pauline Gowers-Scott, Chorley FM :"We are excited to team up with SSR and Students will become part of the already successful Chorley FM Team of Volunteers. This will be of mutual benefit, it will enable Students to gain more 'On Air' experience by Producing and Presenting Shows, which in turn adds to Chorley FM's variety of programmes. We are really looking forward to working together."
