Bob Dean, Culprit & Boy Nuke Em play at SSR's freshers event
SSR welcomed new students and celebrated graduates at last weeks Fresher’s event at Joshua Brooks, one of Manchester's prime nightspots. The new students were welcomed to SSR with a special concert featuring performances by local bands Bob Dean, Culprit and a Dj set by Boy Nuke Em. The night also provided an opportunity to showcase tracks created by our Electronic Music Production graduates, before presenting them with their graduation certificates.
The gig took place in the basement of Joshua Brooks and was engineered by Studio & Live Music Production student Oliver Twiby and he was shadowed by fellow classmate Scott Davies.
SSR Student Oliver Twiby:
“I was delighted to be approached about this years Fresher’s event and having already worked closely with Bob Dean it was a no brainer really! I was aided by Scott Davies who is also on the Studio & Live course and he was fantastic to have around, really helpful. I thought overall the night was a great success and we got a really good sound. This was obviously down to not only good live sound techniques but also fantastic performances from Culprit, Bob Dean and Boy Nuke Em.”
SSR has a long standing tradition of getting students and graduates involved in events like this as it gives them priceless real world experience.
