SSR Manchester - SSR / University of Bolton Graduation
SSR / University of Bolton Graduation
This month saw the graduation ceremony for SSR students completing our BSc Sound Engineering and Design course delivered in collaboration with University of Bolton.

SSR Vice Principal Ian Carmichael and Head of Audio Martin Desai joined the successful students in attending the lavish ceremony at Bolton’s Victoria Halls and were on hand to celebrate with them following the ceremony.

SSR would like to offer its warmest congratulations all the graduates for their hard work and dedication.

Special congratulations must be extended to Kevin Gallagher and Warren Hilton in particular; who both achieved the rare distinction of receiving first class honours degrees (there were only 16 awarded in the entire ceremony)

Warren is set to further his studies on the first intake of SSR’s Masters Course with the University of Salford in September.

SSR Vice Principal Ian Carmichael:
“It was a great feeling watching these guys graduate, and remembering back to when they first started 3 years ago – I feel honoured to have been part of their journey, and I’m so incredibly proud of all of them.”

SSR was also delighted to have a presence at a very special ceremony the following day – the appointment of The University’s first Chancellor, Baroness Morris of Bolton OBE DL.

SSR Principal Ian Hu was given a place of honour as a VIP guest on the stage during the proceedings.

SSR Principal Ian Hu:
“It was a real privilege to be invited to such an historic occasion. It was a wonderful day and one I shall not forget in a hurry.”
