SSR Manchester - Airplay for SSR
Airplay for SSR
SSR is pleased to announce another exciting addition to our team of industry creative partners: Airplay Media.

Airplay Media, based in Manchester, have been established for 25 years and specialize in the development of creative communications for many of the world’s leading brands. Its work has led the company into all forms of media, primarily sound and video production alongside digital media content and development.

The partnership, among other things, will see Airplay company director Peter Knott, an industry professional himself with over 25 years experience, visiting SSR on a regular basis and offering support for our current students. This will take the form of guest lectures and placements and job opportunities with Airplay, alongside dedicated careers and CV optimisation workshops from Peter himself.

These initiatives will be extremely beneficial to our students and will help provide an expansion to SSR’s already successful careers and work placement department.

Airplay’s Peter Knott:
“I must say having formed the relationship with SSR, the prospect of working with tomorrow’s talent and coaching and developing young people is most appealing to myself and the company. I very much look forward to what I’m sure will be a mutually beneficial situation for both SSR and Airplay and we cant wait to get started.”

SSR post production tutor Paul Maunder is one of Airplay’s leading professionals, and has already been using some of their productions as projects and assignments for SSR students. Formalising the relationship between the two companies will lead to many more unique opportunities for our students and is another reason why SSR is a leading centre for industry relevant training and education.

SSR Principal Ian Hu:
“This partnership will be extremely beneficial for our students, particularly with the increased availability of real-world projects for them to work on and the dedicated CV optimising workshops. Students receiving direct feedback on their CV’s from a media professional will help them stand out from the crowd when approaching companies for employment which is really an invaluable tool.”

We will be updating the SSR website with news and developments leading from our partnership with Airplay, along with relevant student success stories.
