D-Show training - first in UK to pass 210V
3 Live Sound students at SSR have just become the first in the UK to participate in and pass the new official Digidesign Pro Tools 210V certification.
The V stands for “VENUE” and refers to the live digital console the D-Show, which is steadily growing in popularity in the live console market across the globe. The D-show is becoming a favourite amongst live sound engineers because of its familiar Pro Tools architecture it's use of plug-ins.
Jay Beard, Digidesign Certified Instructor and head of Live Sound at SSR recently delivered the 3-day training course and was happy to announce that students James, Alan, and Nick all passed their exams first time.
SSR expects this course to be very popular in 2009 with both students and working live sound engineers.
Live Sound facts:
According to the BPI, the Live Sound Industry is continuing to grow steadily and live music revenues make up almost half of all revenue generated by the music industry as a whole. Live music is bigger than the building trade and the pharmaceutical industry in the UK.
This has been reflected by the popularity of SSR’s Live Sound course, which has seen over 80% of our graduates go straight into paid employment, a statistic which is way above the national figures for employment following FE and HE training.
