Following a last-minute-Friday-afternoon call to arms, 5 SSR Manchester students were this weekend performing engineering and PA setup duties at the Salford Music Festival.
Headlined by local legends The Fall, the four day festival took place at various venues in and around Salford over Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and it was great to see our students jumping at the chance to get involved.
Alec Hulton, Elk Burland, Josh Skorczewski, Joseff Lea and Jean Pierre Santamaria were all commended by the festival organisers for their professional approach to the job and high quality of the sound at the events.Paul Ashton - Salford Music Festival:"Many thanks for your answer to our cry for help on Friday. As a result we got 5 extra engineers and these included some of the most proficient of the festival. They were all very professional in their approach, communicated well and best of all no drama when dealing with the inevitable little things that go wrong with an event such as this. Special mention for Josh Skorczewski who literally rescued the gig at Media City. He soon found his way around the digital desk and I received a number of comments on the excellent quality of the sound."
SSR would like to say a big "well done" to everyone involved and we look forward to working with Salford Music Festival in 2015.http://www.salfordmusicfestival.co.uk/
