Recent SSR Audio Post Production graduates have been recruited to work on a feature film alongside award winning Director Bruce Webb
(the Be All and End All) and SSR tutor Kath Pollard
. They are working in the roles of Dialogue Editor, FX Editor, and Foley Artist/Editor, with Kath acting as supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer.
The team are able to use the SSR Studios to review their work with Bruce and Kath and receive useful feedback on any aspects that can be improved. They have full license to make a creative contribution too.
The collaborative nature of the project is helping the SSR graduates to expand their network of contacts in the film industry, which will help them open doors to future work.
The film is a loose retelling of Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet, taking the well-known tale into the digital age. After some suspicious murder/suicides of teenagers, the police trawl through endless information and videos from social media and security cameras, as well as interrogating survivor Balthazar (Maleficent's Jackson Bews) to discover the cause of the chaos.
