We are pleased to report that three students from our Stereo 3D Film Production course, delivered in association with UCLan, have each secured exciting industry internships during the summer.
Following a successful first year on their course, the students in question will be spending their summer working in the 3D Film industry, gaining plenty of skills, experience and contacts they can put to use in their second and third years on the course and beyond.
Firstly, Beth Prosser will be travelling down to London to work with production company Vision3
. Following an interview with the company's CEO Angus Cameron (stereographer on Gravity
, Edge of Tomorrow
, Jupiter Ascending
etc), Beth landed the opportunity to work with the company on an undisclosed Warner Brothers film and will also have the chance to work in Vision3's virtual reality department.
Next up, Joe Schofield and Lucy Mulligan will both be travelling to Paris for a month to work with Binocle3D
. Binocle is one of the most renowned 3D production companies in France, developing and providing cinema professionals with innovative production and post-production tools for stereoscopic filming. During their time with Binocle, Lucy and Joe will be working on a number of projects and may end up travelling throughout France and beyond as part of their roles.
We would like to wish the students the best of luck with their internships and we look forward to hearing what they got up to when they return to SSR for the start of the new term in September!
