SSR Recognised At University of Bolton Partnership Awards
July 2015 saw the first University of Bolton (UoB) Partnership Awards, which award excellence in the University's partner institutions across various categories.
The award ceremony was part of UoB's TIRI Conference and the awards are nominated by students at the partner institutions.
We are proud to report that SSR was the only UK partner institution to receive an award at the ceremony...and in fact, we got two!
SSR tutor and Head of Live Sound Jay Beard won the 'Best Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)' award, which "recognises excellence in the whole of the online learning experience".
In addition, SSR tutor Dean Covill was recognised for his 'Contribution To Teaching (Local Centre Staff)', an award which "recognises excellence in lecturing and support of learning".
Dr Kondal Kandadi -
Assistant Vice Chancellor (Academic Operations) at University of Bolton:
“The Student led Teaching and Learning awards of the University of Bolton celebrate excellence in teaching and student support provision. The awards focus on high quality teaching, student engagement, and overall student learning experience on the University of Bolton’s courses. The staff at SSR have shown exceptional talent and commitment in terms of delivering high quality learning experience to the students”.
We are delighted that SSR and our tutors have been recognised for their hard work and commitment to providing the best possible learning experiences for our students.
We would like to thank everyone who nominated Jay and Dean for the awards and also Dr Kondal Kandadi and all the staff at University of Bolton who were involved in selecting the winners.
Congratulations Jay and Dean!
