SSR Manchester - Games Courses - Summer 2015 Update
Games Courses - Summer 2015 Update
We are pleased to announce a series of updates to our range of Games Design courses, now due to start at SSR Manchester from March and September 2016, with an 8 week ‘taster course’ set to start in October of this year.

In addition, we have recently appointed Darby Costello to the role of Head of Games.

Darby has a proven pedigree in the indie Games Dev scene and has worked across many digital industries, building up skills in games design, 3D, animation and VFX, music production, film, graphic design, web and computer software over many years.

Darby's been in the indie games community since its beginnings and has worked on projects large and small, including physics engines, tools and shaders, and has also been a producer at a Sony Entertainment first-party studio.

ALL NEW GAMES COURSES

Under guidance from Darby and other figures in the industry, we have developed our Games courses and are pleased to reveal the following new courses:

The courses are modular diploma courses and follow a progressive structure. Game Development starts in March 2016, all other courses start September 2016.

Check out the courses via the links above and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. Applications are open now via the apply button on each course.

TASTER COURSE

Starting on 22nd October 2015, we are also running an 8 week Games Design Taster Course suitable for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of creating their own games.

By the end of the taster course you'll have a solid understanding of the key concepts across all aspects of game development, and you'll get the opportunity to build a whole game from scratch, all using Unreal's proprietary Blueprints system.

The taster course is priced at £300 for the full 8 weeks, but you can book a place before 30th September for the earlybird price of £200.

Anyone who completes this taster course will be eligible to redeem the full fees paid from the cost of any future SSR Games Courses applied for.
