SSR Sponsors Manchester Animation Festival
SSR are delighted to announce our brand new major sponsorship of Manchester Animation Festival, the UK’s largest festival dedicated to the celebration of animation.

Manchester Animation Festival, now in its second year, attracts delegates from right across the UK, with this year’s competition element drawing over 900 film entries from 66 countries across the globe.

The festival, held at Manchester’s new iconic arts space, HOME on 15, 16 & 17 November, is a great opportunity for industry professionals, enthusiasts, students and the public to celebrate some of the work of animation greats with screentalks, masterclasses, panel discussions, practical workshops, networking opportunities, and screenings of some of the latest international animated short films and feature films. With special guests from the USA and Europe amongst this year’s line-up, and Aardman Animations’ Co-Founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton confirmed speakers, this festival promotes both international and UK animation, with Manchester at the heart of it.

This sponsorship is part of SSR’s ongoing commitment to creativity, excellent education and quality teaching. We very much look forward to taking part and building a very active relationship.

Adrian Greensides, Head of Marketing for SSR explains; “The city deserves this excellent festival, which is fast becoming an international festival of animation. As a provider of high quality creative based education, SSR are very proud indeed to support this great event and very much look forward to working with them to support a number of events and workshops”.

Deb Singleton, Manchester Animation Festival Co-Director is delighted that SSR have chosen to become involved; "The festival programme gives attendees the opportunity to develop practical skills and learn from professionals and provides inspiration to budding animators as they make their first steps in this exciting and competitive industry. We’re delighted to be working in partnership with SSR to support students as they pursue their ambitions within the creative industries”.

Established for over 30 years, SSR have seen the industry grow, launched firsts, watched technologies evolve, shaped creative education and equipped our students with the right help and tools for exciting new futures.

SSR are proud supporters of Manchester Animation Festival, and will be running a number of events and workshops as part of the programme.
