SSR - SSR Students Celebrated in 2016 Mediaspec Awards
SSR Students Celebrated in 2016 Mediaspec Awards
We are delighted to share the news that this year three SSR students have been recognised in the 2016 Mediaspec Awards.

Sponsored and supported by one of our industry partners, leading technology supplier Mediaspec, the Mediaspec award acknowledges students who show outstanding qualities in their work, or who have overcome barriers during their course. The inaugural award was presented to Livia Nagy in 2014.

This year’s awards were recently presented to Callum Bate (SSR Manchester music award), Beth Prosser (SSR Manchester film award) and Adrian Holder (SSR London music award).

Each student received an engraved trophy, along with a fully licensed education specific copy of Avid’s Pro Tools or Media Composer software, provided by Mediaspec.

Eric Joseph, Managing Director of Mediaspec:
“Educational establishments have been important customers of Mediaspec’s from the company’s very early days over 20 years ago. We appreciate and admire the dedication of world-renowned establishments such as SSR to teaching young people and preparing them for fruitful careers in the music and broadcast industries. By giving students a helping hand via the Mediaspec Awards we are honoured to reward their hard work and commitment to learning. We offer this year’s winners our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future. The awards are well-deserved and we have no doubt that the recipients will go on to be a credit to SSR and we look forward to hearing about their achievements.”

Adrian, Callum and Beth were delighted to be selected for the awards and had this to say about their recognition:

Callum Bate:
"It's a really great feeling to be given the Mediaspec award at SSR. It's really humbling to be chosen for it, and I'd like to thank all the tutors at SSR and Mediaspec for the award and prize."

Bethany Prosser:
"It was a shock when I found out I had won as I never win anything. I have overcome so much in the past couple of years and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help from all those at SSR. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me as it has given me a massive confidence boost and I hope to do everyone proud."

Adrian Holder:
"To be nominated for an award is a great honour, sometimes you aren't sure if the work you put into something will get recognised or appreciated if it goes against the norm. I'm looking forward to the future and being able to put my nomination from SSR and Mediaspec on my CV. Thanks go out to the Tutors at SSR and the people at Mediaspec, the trophy looks awesome :)"

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our three winners, and we wish them every success for the future. In addition, we would like to thank Mediaspec for their longstanding and continued support of SSR and our students.

We hope to run the awards again in 2017 and in future years to come and look forward to celebrating, with Mediaspec, the hard work and dedication that our talented students put into their studies.
