SSR Manchester - Stuart Avery, Course Development & Module Leader
Stuart is one of SSR’s longest serving tutors, having joined the company at just 25 years of age. After playing guitar professionally in a band, Stuart moved up to Manchester and began working as a freelance producer and live engineer at venues across the city, and Moolah Rouge Studios in Stockport.

He also began mastering releases for two London-based labels, working on a diverse range of tracks from house artists such as Angie Brown and Jacquii Caan.

As a certified Pro Tools instructor, Stuart delivers Pro Tools classes at SSR, as well as teaching studio and mixing modules on our courses.

Stuart has a wealth of industry experience as a music promoter as well as an engineer, having set up an established concert promotions company in Manchester and organised several high profile music events and festivals in the city. As a result he also delivers the music industry-based modules, where he is able to pass on valuable experience to students about the realities of the business and pitfalls of setting up companies and becoming self-employed.

Stuart teaches on the BSc/FdSc Sound Engineering & Design and BSc (Hons) Studio & Live Music Production courses, as well as being one of SSR’s certified Pro Tools instructors.
