After winning Guitarist Magazine’s ‘Acoustic Guitarist of the Year 1998’ at the National Music Show in London, Ben began his career in the music industry in 2000 as a guitar, bass and drums session player for various UK artists and such as Mozez, Chesney Hawkes, Mika and BBC film composer and music producer Chris Nicholaides, whilst touring with function and cover bands around the UK and Europe on P&O cruise ships. He has also composed for the TV program Nickelodeon at Jungle Group postproduction studios in Soho, London.

In August 2014, Ben was awarded Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) by the Society for Education and Training. He qualified for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Canterbury Christchurch University (2007), a DipHe in Music Technology at Thames Valley University (1999) and a BA(Hons) in Commercial Music at Bath Spa University (2004). He became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2008.

As a consultant, since 2007, he has been delivering Sound Mixing and Sound Design workshops in various institutions in Europe: France (CFPTS, Paris), Czech Republic (DAMU/JAMU Prague/Brno), Germany (Theatre des Westens, Berlin) and Finland (Theatre Academy of Finland, Helsinki). He continues to work as a session musician and recording/mixing engineer, whilst composing as a solo artist.
