SSR Manchester - Bruce Fitter, Course Leader BSc (Hons) 3D Film Production
After completing an MA at Liverpool John Moores University in 2004 where for his dissertation Bruce became the 1st person to create video footage from a remote collaborative virtual studio (and was recognised in 3D World magazine for doing so), Bruce started his own film production company, Rusted Image Productions. Bruce worked on various projects here including being picked for the BBC Innovations Labs for a cross platform narrative he created.

It was while Bruce was working in his business that he was asked to do some university lectures at Edge Hill University. This started his love of lecturing and academia in media. After being heard at an open lecture Bruce was asked to pitch a film at the Cannes Film Festival for a Belarusian Film company. While in Cannes he was asked to work with the director on this Stereo 3D film. This started his love of S3D.

Bruce wrote the BSc (Hons) course in Stereo 3D Film Production and as well as leading it is doing a Doctorate of Creative Arts in Stereo 3D at the University of Central Lancashire. In the creation of the degree Bruce has established many contacts in the S3D industry from all over the world and from companies as large as Disney, Dreamworks and Park Road. Bruce also has several published academic papers on S3D
