Student Support

We are proud to have supported all of our students & graduates over the years. We take the view that once you are welcomed into the SSR family, you remain so for life.

We have a number of support services and processes in place designed to offer help, advice and encouragement to our students.

Our dedicated support staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have, and offer advice and help before, during and importantly after your studies with SSR. While studying, you will receive regular information on job opportunities, work experience, placements and industry projects to get involved with, all of which are great additions to your CV and can put you ahead of your peers.

SSR also has some great links to the local community and industry, and our students are regularly invited to help on external events.

Many of our former students have returned to SSR for further training or to use our facilities, and some have even been offered employment within the company and with our partners. Even after your studies you are always welcome to come to us for advice and assistance with your projects, employment and professional life. We are here to help you succeed and achieve your goals and will do everything possible to assist you, however we can.

SSR can also advise on accommodation while you study with us. Please contact your nearest campus for details.

Careers

If you've read through some of the student success stories on our website, you may be asking yourself "why are SSR students so successful in securing work?"

In addition to our expert technical training, we provide support to help you secure work in the creative media industries. Some students even secure work while they are still studying, and it has been known for students to take a break from their studies to go on tour or complete a work placement before returning to SSR to complete their course.

We can provide support and guidance with:
  • In-class specialised careers workshops
  • CV advice clinic
  • Interview techniques and tips
  • Regular guest lectures by industry employers
  • Industry networking events with employers
  • Company contacts listings
  • On-going work experience opportunities
  • Job alerts with our creative partners
  • Graduate support programme after you leave
