DJ & Producer
Chris Hindle completed our Electronic Music Production course last year and is now studying on our Audio Engineering Techniques & Technology course.
Alongside his studies at SSR, Chris is a member of DJ and Production duo Kinyume who are currently making waves in the Manchester DJ scene and playing at various nights further afield including boat parties in Ibiza!
The duo also have an EP called Karacana being released via Manchester's Applique Music label very soon which will be available on iTunes, Beatport and Juno.
We got in touch with Chris for further information on Kinyume and how the course at SSR helped polish his DJ'ing and production skills:Chris Hindle:“As Kinyume we have played at places such as The Ritz in Manchester as well as Gorilla, Antwerp Mansion, Venus and South as well as Parklife Festival and a boat party and bar in Ibiza. We also have a DJ residency with Rum & Bass which is a night in Manchester, and have some exciting gigs coming up including a set for The Warehouse Project's Afterlife night on New Years Eve! Both the course and tutor Damion O'Brien helped me get the grasp of how to make a track as well how to get gigs by going down to nights and speaking to people and networking. The EMP course really helped me as it allowed me to take my previous tracks and turn them into something that sounds like a record. Damion also taught me about synthesis and how to create the sounds that you have in your head. I am now studying on the Audio Engineering course and really enjoying that too!”
